Improving our services into areas of most deprivation in Waverley

The Community Engagement Project is a jointly funded initiative through UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) funds and the Community Foundation for Surrey.

The first stage of the project was to identify the areas of most deprivation in Waverley, with the aim to improve the  targeting of our services for our clients.

The areas are:

  • Waverley 002E in Farnham: 14th most deprived sub-ward in Surrey
  • Waverley 010A in Godalming: 16th most deprived
  • Waverley 005C in Godalming Binscombe: 42nd most deprived
  • Waverley 015A in Alfold, Cranleigh Rural and Ellens Green: 86th most deprived

The next phase of the project has been to carry out interviews with clients to identify the most important issues facing people in the current cost of living crisis and their current use of Citizens Advice. So far we have completed more than 55 interviews and we will soon have a preliminary report into the findings of our research.
