• About us

We are a local charity providing free, confidential, independent and impartial advice to people in South West Surrey.

Citizens Advice South West Surrey is an independent local charity serving the communities of Guildford and Waverley. While both areas are often seen as affluent, there are many people facing poverty, debt, housing difficulties, poor health and other challenges. We are here to support the most vulnerable in our community.

From six local offices and community outreach locations, we provide free, confidential and impartial advice to anyone who needs it.

Our generalist advice service is open to everyone and is funded by a wide range of partners, including local authorities, national programmes and donations. It includes specialist debt advice and our Advice First Aid programme, which trains community partners to signpost residents and acts as a key referral route into our service.

Alongside this, we deliver targeted services for people with specific needs, including cancer support, mental health advice, and homelessness prevention.

With the help of our dedicated staff and volunteers, we ensure thousands of local people each year can find a way forward, whatever their problem.
